If you’ve followed my career, you know I’ve probably conducted MORE high-level, intensive/expensive business seminars world-wide than – well, most serious business experts. For the record, the caliber of programs I conducted were NOT the “Tease & Squeeze” type of sell-a-thons most info-marketers think “seminars” should be. We never-ever sold anything else at our $5,000- $15,000, $20,000 or $25,000 – 3 – 5 day, 10-14 hours-a-day intensives.
Around the world, we did well over 150, separate (and still famous) breakthrough, programs – including Mastermind Marketing, Protégé/Mentor, Power Partnering, Ex-Factor, Swinging for the Fences, Billion Dollar Summits, Special Private Client Partnership, PEQ I, II, III, the Brain Trust, and on and on.
Then, quite frankly, I burned out. We did something like a quarter billion dollars of training without even selling a thing at the programs, themselves. These were ALL “unimaginably powerful” content, instructional and high-performance business-building, hands-on guidance (for their genre). The proof positive? How about something like 14,000 success stories – not 14,000 attendees. 14,000 success stories!
But, that notwithstanding, I honestly “wore out” on doing 800-1,000 person programs 12-18 times a year here, four times a year in Australia, twice a year in London and twice a year in Singapore.
Call it seminar “overload,” but I got burned out – big time — and stopped, altogether – doing any seminars myself (meaning I closed down our nearly 40-person seminar organization) and refocused my time, effort — and interests — almost totally, on working directly/collaboratively with larger operating companies doing $20 million to $2.5 billion.
I say, “Almost,” because I kept doing two overseas, activities — to keep my proficiency high at instructing large, diverse-entrepreneur groups AND – candidly, because they were wildly challenging endeavors.
I kept doing large attended, 3-day events in China – going to Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai and averaging 800 attendees at each program. I also did four-day “intensives” in Tokyo to approximately 350 people, $9,000 a person events.
Why abandon all future seminars, but still do a handful of large-attended, intensive programs in Asia?
If you’ve never been the singular speaker for 8-12 hours a day for three-four days — in front of 350-850 people in a foreign land — almost none of which speak a word of English (so it’s ALL done through translators) and all being offered on an audacious money-back basis to each attendee – whereby they can get their $5,000-$9,000 attendee fee refunded, ANYTIME (up to the last minute, of the last hour of the last day) IF Jay Abraham doesn’t monumentally “out-deliver” their expectations — you don’t know what kind of super-adrenaline rush this can be.
It’s like driving a Bugatti Veyron (fastest, most powerful sports car made), — with twin turbo chargers and a spoiler – running on nitro!
Anyhow, I’m leaving this week for Tokyo-again, where nearly 400 people will be in attendance. In April, I do approximately 900 people each in three Chinese cities – Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen…
Why am I telling YOU all this, when I don’t do seminars in “the States” anymore? That probably sounds almost sadistic – but it’s the opposite of my intention, here.
You see, a ton of people on my list – many of you who NEVER experienced any of my classic, past seminars – have asked me to conduct a special, intimate, private seminar here in Los Angeles, at least one more time, so THEY can attend – and bring their partners, team or college-aged children.
Why? Perhaps they’ve seen snippets of the English version of the China or Japanese programs I still do and realize that my content is light years more advanced than the last programs I did here back in the early 2000’s, when I burned out.
Truthfully, the things I’m doing now around the world, the scope of companies I’m associating with — and the knowledge I’ve gained in the last five years, by being focused squarely on working with bigger entrepreneurs, gave me Herculean understanding of things few people grasp.
For example, I’m doing a book on Convergent-Divergent Thinking with the former CEO of Speedo and Adidas/Latin America. I’m doing another book with Daymond John of Shark Tank-fame on getting your start-up financed and successful. I’m working with portfolio companies from two, separate multi-billion dollar PE firms – I’m working with the world’s largest multi-variable testing organization.
I’m partnering with one of the brightest experts for larger, family-owned business eager to get maximum value on theirexit strategy sale.
I could go on for pages. But I’ve massively expanded my own intellectual capital base – perhaps ten times over, from whatever I knew (and whoever I was) the last time I conducted a live “face-to-face” intensives here in the “States.”
I’m intrigued to see IF and how many of you reading this are “game” to find, out-firsthand. More precisely I’m proposing doing a highly select, ultra-small attended, high-level, special situation, private, three-day “face-to-face” program this June, in Los Angeles – just for people on my subscriber list.
I will have just returned from doing an explosively provocative, world premier five-day “Business Breakthrough” program in Japan on monetizing/maximizing/managing relational capital. I will have just returned, also, from my China “Super Summits.” So my mind will be exceedingly agile, stretched wide to the maximum spectrum of possibility – and my patient/lucid/clear-cut communication skills will be fully, in-gear.
But there’s a rub – I will NOT consider trying to “hard” sell or “hype-y” sell you on attending. In fact, quite the opposite – if you don’t ALREADY grasp how “mighty” my body of work and vast, real-life grasp of entrepreneurship/meaningful moneymaking/strategic/critical thinking is – I don’t want you there. (I’ll only send provocative emails like this.)
Wet blankets, rigid thinkers would totally thwart, constrict (and contaminate) my purpose, intent and vision for even doing this.
I’m merely responding to ALL the surprisingly large number of requests my subscribers make for me to do “one-more” epic, private “Super Session” – just for them. I could care less about big numbers (obviously, there needs to be enough of you to make the dynamic/effort worth doing). But a hundred or two – just from my list — is fine with me. I’m not offering it as a big moneymaker for me. But I suspect it could turn out to represent a mammoth moneymaker for you, your family and your business.
